Community Lifeline Center is a lifeline to assist your family through a crisis due to sudden unemployment, unexpected medical expense, or other issues. CLC provides essential needs in order to prevent more profound, long-term issues.

What We Do
CLC provides the basics of life which may include:
-Housing (rent, mortgage)
-Food, hygiene and day-to-day household items
-Education classes on job and life skills

Where We Serve
Our service area includes individuals and families who reside in the cities of Altoga, Anna, Blue Ridge, Celina, Copeville, Farmersville, Josephine, Lavon, Lowery Crossing, McKinney, Melissa, Nevada, New Hope, Princeton, Prosper, Westminster, and Weston.

To Attend Free, Public Classes
We offer weekly education in a variety of life and job skills education. Our LifeSteps Education classes are free to anyone needing assistance with money management, computer skills, and tools for job seekers. These services are available to anyone, regardless of city of residence. Please call to register or click here to register.

To Qualify for Financial Assistance

If you 1) live in our service area and 2) have a documented crisis, you may be eligible to receive help paying your utility bills, or rent/mortgage assistance. Financial assistance is offered as funding is available.

A documented crisis is a situation that came about unexpectedly and can be documented.  Such a crisis created an immediate need and was not caused by conduct of the individual. CLC’s financial assistance is not a pension, income supplement, or an entitlement program. Note that changes in temporary or seasonal employment are not considered unexpected.

In order to qualify for financial assistance, you will need to provide documentation proving loss of income in your name that has created this crisis.

Required documentation to complete the application includes:
-Photo ID
-Proof of crisis documentation (for example, layoff notice from employer)
-Social Security cards for all household members
-And, the item you are requesting assistance with (for example, unpaid utility bill)

How To Apply for Assistance
If you think you qualify, you may request assistance by filling out the Register box to the right. This will create a Seeladora account for you. Please remember the email address and password you register with.

(If you have applied for assistance at Community Lifeline Center before, click the blue Login button in the upper right-hand corner.)

Next, click Start New Application and choose the type of assistance you are applying for.

Click Financial Assistance if you need help with rent, utilities, medical or dental.
Click Lifeline Market if you need food assistance at our food pantry.
Click Lifesteps if you want to register for a free education class.

Please complete all required sections in the Checklist before submitting. Your case status must say “Pending Review” in order for a case manager to be notified that you filled out an application. If your application says “Draft,” it is incomplete and a case manager has not been notified that you have begun applying.

Once you submit your application, please follow up by calling our office. Your case will be reviewed and you will be contacted afterward.  If you have not received notification within five business days please log into your Seeladora account to check the status or call the office at 972.542.0020.
